What's all this then!

I'm using the new WindowBlinds theme, and it's almost perfect for me except for one thing. I find that the fonts used throughout the theme are too light, and as a result are a little hard on the eyes.

What's the best way to darken all the fonts in a theme at once? Can it be done somehow using WB, or will I have to switch them all in SkinStudio? (hope not, as I know jack squat about using that app )

ANy changes you make in WindowBlinds Configuration > User Overrides, will affect all skins until you change those settings, but even then, I don't think you can change the color of the fonts. Sorry, but it appears you'll have to edit the fonts in SkS.

I looked in the user overrides section, but could only see where the theme font could be changed, not the color. The titlebar font had the option to bold, italic, etc, but that's about it.

I've tried in the display properties-appearence-advanced settings for menu, titlebars etc, but the settings don't 'take'.

Looks like I'll have to dig into SkinStudio...

Davebo, in skinstudio alot of the font colours are grouped together in the miscellaneous section, presets, colour presets - font number 04 normal text 128, if you edit that to be darker it will switch a large number of fonts at the same time. You will have to also go in the miscellaneous - colors section, and change some of those. Then I am afraid there are various other font colours that are defined throughout the skin and you will have to go through them one by one.
Of course after that there may be other issues which seem to always spring up when trying to balance the font colour settings, such as highlight colour, hot tracking colour etc etc.

Right on - thanks for a starting point, Tiggz. I'll take a run at it later on.

I appreciate the nice theme, and the assist!
